Welcome to Africa, my name is Paul

Our team arrived in Uganda on Friday night:

9:01 - Exit Airplane
9:03 - Walk down stopped 'up' escalator since the line to go on the 'down' escalator was so long
9:04 - Courtney and Jess safely get off escalator
9:04.5 - Whitney YELPS and screams as the escalator start start moving in the opposite direction that she, Lisa and Jeanah were moving. At least we were subtle about what we were doing.

Besides that, our arrivel went without any incident. We even got through customs without a problem (actually, we didn't even really go through customs). One of the ladies who worked at immigration told us we were a group and that if we gave her the Visa money (which she repeated numerous times) we would haven't go wait in line to get visas. She was dressed in official clothing, so Lisa went with her and our passports to the front of the Visa line to get us 'Visas', which turned out to be stamps in our passports. We then we told that we were all set and could walk through without getting checked...hmmm.

Paul our driver, and his driver picked us up at the airport. Paul the driver instructed his driver to take us to Mr. T's. Yes, our driver has a driver. In fact, Paul is not only a driver with a driver, but he also has a 70's love mobile that he drives around (actually that his driver drives around). Confused? So are we. Paul was very helpful, and on the way to the apartment, stopped for us to exchange money, and took us to get some dinner.

On a side note, we have met about 7 people in Uganda named Paul.
